Spring Color inspiration via Pantone
Everyone has spring fever, and for fashionistas that means updating the wardrobe with new pieces in the key colors and shapes of theseason. Thank the universe for Pantone, the world renowned authority on color. Pantone is the system or language that designers, artists, and manufacturers in a wide variety of industries use to communicate color. Lucky for us fashion buffs, every season Pantone releases a color report that shows a palette of the top colors used by fashion designers for that time period. These are the colors you are going to see the most in your favorite boutiques and it’s a great tool to use to plan your next hair color or makeup change. Just think about what colors would look best with your hair currently or choose a few colors from the palette and plan a fresh new hair color that will complement your new wardrobe.
For 2012, Pantone chose Tangerine Tango as the color of the year. You’ll definitely want to have at least one staple piece in this shade like a purse or skirt, or try a Tangerine Tango inspired lipstick or manicure.
